    For a young woman in pthisis pulmonalis.
    Some pills of opium, purpurea digitalis, & gum arabic ; the proportion of opium not very considerable on account of the next article ; giving one pill in the morning, another in the afternoon.
To be taken in water. { Antimonial wine 3 parts, laudanum 2 parts; taking 20 drops of the mixture in the morning, & 30 at night.
Elixir of vitriol, 15 or 20 drops at night according as the sweats prevail.
  73 Cream of tartar & flowers of sulphur to be used ; whenever costiveness occurs; being taken in melasses.
