Some pills of opium, purpurea digitalis, & gum arabic ; the proportion
of opium not very considerable on account of the next article ; giving one
pill in the morning, another in the afternoon. |
To be taken in water. |

Antimonial wine 3 parts, laudanum 2 parts; taking 20 drops of the mixture
in the morning, & 30 at night. |
Elixir of vitriol, 15 or 20 drops at night according as the sweats prevail. |
