PREFACE

The following Collections are intended to confirm and illustrate the method of practice recommended in my former treatise or first volume upon Midwifery; and are placed in the fame order observed in that performance, to which they have references, as well as to a series of tables, to the number of thirty-nine, which I have prepared, with a view to demonstrate and explain what otherwise might not be to well understood.
