  March, 1786.        Hallowel.
Thursday 2. Mr. Emerson preached a lecture at Esq. Pettingill's. Attended.
Friday 3.  
Saturday 4.  
Sunday 5. Met with a few brethren at Esq. Pettingill's. Evidenced a remarkable & gracious manifestation of God's peculiar goodness. Had meat to eat which the world knows not of.
Monday 6. Town meeting _____ did not finish the business.
Tuesday 7. Town meeting finished. Mr. Hazlitt & Mr. Noble both negatived by the town. _____ Myself chosen one of the Selectmen, Mr. Ballard & Dr. Cony the others.
Wed'day 8. My brother Jotham left this for Chester.
Thursday 9.

Saturday 11.  
Sunday 12. Met at Esq. Pettingill's. (Mr. Noble preached his farewell sermons in the meetinghouse.)
Monday 13. Hauled some gravel across the ice.
Tuesday 14. Hauled my bricks.
