Mr. John Foster, (brother to Isaac) preached -- flagrant free
will doctrine. -- |
| Monday 9. |
Attended a lecture at the meetghouse. Mr. Danl
Foster preached -- poor doctrine. The Church reformed their covenant &
received such other persons as were members of other churches. -- |
| Tuesday 10. |

| Wedsday 11. |
The Council appointed for ordination met at Dr. Cony's in the
morning -- Attended, & presented the 7 charges & endeavoured to support him. His took up the forenoon -- left
the Council to debate the matter -- Their debates held till near sunsett when they proceeded to the meetghouse, & laid
hands on the Candidate. |
